Casting Tuition - Dave Wiltshire AAPGAI ( associate member, prov. single handed)
Based in Chew Magna, near Bristol, I am an AAPGAI (Associate member, prov. single handed) qualified casting and fly fishing instructor.
I am fully insured and CRB checked.
I offer a range of casting tuition, with sessions tailor-made to suit you:
Beginners:
Understand the tackle required, how to set it up and make your first casts to get you fishing.
Intermediate:
Improve the quality of your fishing, learn some new techniques. Learn to use the double haul and achieve greater distance. Develop the techniques required to cope with tricky weather conditions. This is also an opportunity to iron-out any faults you may have developed in your casting.
Advanced:
For the experienced fly fisher wishing to learn the use of the single or double haul more effectively and add distance. Improve your accuracy and develop your fly presentation using slack line presentation casts. There may be specific techniques you wish to develop such as the use of spey casting techniques, French or Czech Nymphing.
You are very welcome to join me on the beautiful River Chew, just a few miles south of Bristol, for your casting lesson

Guided Fishing
I offer guided trips on rivers, brooks, stillwaters and chalkstreams and these can be a great way to explore a new type of water or style of fishing. Whether you are a complete beginner wishing to make your first casts and catch your first fish, a stillwater angler looking to make your first steps into running water, or you are an experienced angler wishing to learn new techniques and hone your fishing skills, my aim is to make these days informative and enjoyable.
